About:
I fell in love with Latin and Greek while still in high school and knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a PhD. I had grown up fascinated by the ancient world, particularly by its languages. A few years later I graduated from Hillsdale College in 2017 with degrees in Latin and Greek, and a special interest in ancient historiography and narratology, particularly with authors such as Thucydides, Herodotus, and Tacitus. I came to UCSB confident that I would be able to pursue my passion for the classical world among excellent faculty and colleagues.
